This past weekend we traveled to Munising, Michigan for the second annual American Snowmobiler Ride In event. The event allows consumers to interact and hangout with industry representatives like ourselves. It also gives the customers the chance to try before they buy. All weekend long event participants could try a set of Curve skis on their machine for themselves.
We turned a lot of skeptics into believers as many people experienced a ride unimaginable on their sled previously. Not only were the event participants blown away but we also helped Steve over at TekRider, maker of the TekVest, fall in love with his Sidewinder all over, "These skis are quite amazing. It's been years since I've had a sled that doesn't dart about and tire me out. The Curves work exceptionally well at all speeds. Such a pleasant surprise!!!"
We also got a little testing in on some of the new 2018 model sleds with the guys from American Snowmobiler. Models we tested on included a Polaris Switchback XCR and the Ski-doo Renegade XRS. Both machines were in need of some serious handling solutions, so we set each machine up with a set of XS skis and Stud Boy's 6" shaper carbide. Right off the bat improvements were noticed just leaving the parking lot, predictability was one of the more noticeable characteristics. The skis also reduced push, darting, and steering effort when compared to the Pilot TS (aggressive).
